At the 21 day Phase I program, clients are evaluated for special needs in the areas of housing, medical condition, job prospects and the like. A client may be referred to community programs and/or practitioners who have affiliation agreements with Victory Programs as a means to address various special needs. Clients who are unable to work are expected to attend house meetings and to take advantage of volunteer opportunities. This program aspect consists of participation in weekly small groups convened to address daily living issues and the need for peer and/or additional professional support. Outpatient programs are designed for clients who are medically stable and not at an elevated risk of relapse, including those who have already completed inpatient care.

When individuals and families are safely housed, they’re much more likely to address their health, addictions, and other issues. It’s a “housing first” approach that includes stabilization services, emergency shelter, transitional and permanent housing, and case management. Men also are referred to our health center for primary and specialized care, and their children are connected to our Child and Family Services for enrollment in Head Start, early intervention and other services. Beyond the immediate goal of sobriety, Victory Programs also focuses on long-term recovery and reintegration into society.
